With a personal mission to change the narrative of how we view food, farming, and health in the US, Chef Sky Hanka’s philosophy around health is deeply rooted in food as medicine. She is currently finishing a Master’s in Integrative Clinical Nutrition and holds a degree from the Culinary Institute of America and a Didactic Program in Dietetics. She is also a certified functional medicine health coach and partners with clients to create regenerative goals tailored to their health and wellness vision. In the kitchen, she offers a conscious, restorative, and functional approach to cooking; an approach she has cultivated during her years teaching culinary classes, working in farm-to-table restaurants, and managing her own health imbalances. When she isn’t reading research articles and completing Graduate work, you’ll find her out foraging and hiking, soaking up energy from the sun!
