About this Recipe
Bison is lean and rich with a taste that screams summer. Summer is a time when the sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors I have missed all winter come back in a big way. So in honor of that, I wanted to create a burger that included all those quintessential flavors.
Alright, truth time, I used to not be a huge burger fan. In fact, the only times I ever craved burgers was after a day of strenuous outdoor activities or after a hard workout, where I felt like I earned the calories.
Trifecta has changed the burger game, and now I enjoy burger’s on the regular knowing I am still crushing my daily Marcos.
Cooking Trifecta burgers are quick, easy, and downright delicious; each bison patty is handmade and packed for you to reheat and eat without any worry.
How to Prepare Red, White, and Bleu Bison Burgers
Prep time: 4 min
Cook time: 5 min
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 4 Trifecta bison burger patty
- 4 hamburger buns
- ½ cup blue cheese, crumbled
- ½ cup arugula or other leafy greens
- 2 tablespoon favorite buffalo sauce or BBQ Sauce
- 1 Red onion, sliced into rings, grilled
- 1 Pineapple, sliced, grilled
Tools
- Grill, tongs and spatula
- Small bowl
- Sheet tray
- Knife and cutting board
Step 1: Toast Your Buns
Toast the buns in a toaster or toaster oven until golden brown.
Toasting your buns actually helps prevent them from getting soggy when you load up with toppings and condiments.
Step 2: Grill Your Burgers and Toppings
Grilling shouldn’t be stressful or scary, and many times I have watched friends sweat over achieving a perfect medium rare, then miss out on enjoying time with friends and family.
Even the best grill masters have had to scrape a burnt burger or topping from their grill and hope no one noticed they left their throne unattended for too long.
But thanks to Trifecta a la carte burgers there will be no more sacrificing food to the burger gods because you walked away from the grill for a cold-one or to entertain your guests.
Once your grill is hot, grill the hamburgers for 1 minute then flip, top with blue cheese, and grill for another 2 minutes. Ta done!
The only time you should touch your burger is when you flip it, don’t move it and touch it often; this ensures all of the juices stay inside the burger and it cooks evenly.
At the same time you’re cooking your burgers, place your sliced onions and pineapple on the grill to get a quick char and elevate their flavor.
Top with 1-2 tablespoons of blue cheese after you flip them once to melt the cheese onto the patty.
No grill? No problem! Trifecta burgers can be warmed up in the microwave for 2 minutes or on the stove-top in a skillet for 1-2 minutes per side.
Step 3: Build Your Burger
Remove the cheesy patty from the grill and place on your toasted but then top with grilled pineapple, onion, buffalo sauce, and arugula. Dig in!
